Hey, everyone! I just got back to Colorado Springs from the conference on July 27th. This blog post is a summary of what I did at the annual Chromosome 18p- conference this year. In case you are wondering, these are Thomas’s, Camilla’s, mine, and Chromosome 18’s website.

July 24th:
I woke up at 11:00am. I then dressed and I ate a little food. I went swimming for about 10 minutes and hung out with Lauren. After that, I took a shower so it wasn’t in my way later.
While I was drying off, I messaged Macy and I decided to put on my red shirt so Macy and I could match. Then I went down to the lobby and sat down to wait when I realized I had forgotten my iPhone charger and I figured I would get it when I went up to get my headphones.
In the next minute, Macy and Lauren found me and so I told her and asked if she and Lauren wanted to come with me. They said yes and we also made a stop by Lauren’s hotel room so she could grab her phone plugin.
After we went down together to sit on the lobby floor next to the same plugin outlet. I then watched a little bit more of the video before pictures. I went to the restrooms quickly then I went with Lauren and Macy outside. I handed Camilla my bag so she could put it somewhere.
I sat down on the grass gently pulling my skirt around my knees so I wouldn’t have the grass tickling me. I smiled for the cameras and for the first photo we all waved. Then the other photos we smiled.
Once the photos were all taken, Patty and Frank came down to talk to me. And since, Lauren was with me and Macy I introduced Lauren to them.
After they left, I headed up to the room while Macy and Lauren went to get dressed. I got dressed and Camilla did my hair. Macy came in right before Camilla did my hair.
Once my hair was done, Macy and I headed to the elevators to wait for Lauren to come down with the elevator.
Once we went to the lobby, we went to the lobby’s public restroom. While I was waiting for Macy to finish, I messaged Camilla to ask when she would come down and when we should head into the ballroom.
We eventually headed toward the ballroom. We ran into Patty (aka Romano Duo), Frank, and Debbie on the way there. We headed into the ballroom at one point. Macy, Lauren, and I sat down at a makeshift self-advocates table.
We waited for food and just like always I was the last one to eat. What I had was french fries although there was pork with it. After I had some rich chocolate cake, I headed toward the dance floor.
Debbie joined me then Rebecca joined us and Lauren and Macy came back from the restroom to join us then Patty Camilla, and Frank joined us. A little later I went to the restroom.
To my surprise while I was drying my hands, I saw Macy holding the door waiting to go to the restroom. Once I was done I left the restroom, I found our dance group in the ballroom and shortly afterwards Katie came to ask if I wanted my picture taken with her.
This time I said yes so I went and then once I was done I headed back. Then Katie (It was great to see you again! See you next year!) asked Lauren. Afterward, we continued to dance until the end of the dance with a few photos taken.
One by one people began to leave, In the end, I went with Macy and Lauren. Once Macy and I got on our hotel floor, we said goodbye to Lauren (I had a fun time with you and it was fun dancing with you! See you next year!) to head up to her 8th-floor room.
I headed back down for a minute so I could say bye to Rebecca (It was great to see you and I had fun dancing with you! See you next year!) then headed up in time so Macy (I’m glad I got to spend time with you although I was sick. See you next year!) could say bye to me. Then I got ready for bed. Once I finished getting ready for bed, I got into bed and used my phone until my eyes were starting to close.
During that time I was thinking how much I would miss Macy and Lauren. Anyway, I got up to finish up getting ready for bed then I fell asleep. I went to sleep happy.
